Everyone get out your afghan coats, record players, and tissues—Daisy Jones & The Six has arrived! Based on the New York Times bestselling novel, Daisy Jones & The Six follows the story of a 1970s band formed by two, feuding lost souls, Daisy Jones, and Billy Dunne. Daisy Jones & The Six tells a passionate story through life, music, and Rock n’ Roll in a documentary style; Written by Taylor Jenkins Reed, the 10-episode mini-drama series was released on March 3, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video. Undoubtedly, the fashion portrayed in the show is exceptional and we all wish this 70s time capsule were in our closets. Though, we predict that we may see more of these pieces in everyone's closets this spring/summer and even fall of 2023.
That being said, here's a look into some of the characters and the fashion of Daisy Jones & The Six:
Daisy Jones:
Daisy is a carefree, confident, and passionate spirit. She isn't one to follow the rules and lives life to the fullest. Her clothing compliments her outgoing and ostentatious energy, as she can be seen wearing, bold afghan coats, flashy and mute cowboy boots, platform boots, flashy flowy dresses, and classic 70s flare sleeve tops.
In an interview with W Magazine costume designer Denise Wingate says that a lot of Daisy Jones's style takes inspiration from Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks.

Camila Dunne:
Camila is a girls girl– with a heart of gold. She has a passion for photography that can be seen through her artsy clothing choices in the show. She is constantly seen wearing corduroy skirts, extravagant afghan coats, and gorgeous flowy patterned dresses.
Her character's clothing choices were inspired by no other than, Ali McGraw and Bianca Jagger–which explains the elegance and femininity of her outfits. As the summertime comes around, I feel like we all may be embracing our inner Camila.

Warren Rojas:
Warren is the fun-loving comedic relief out of the bunch, always staying true to his small-town roots and never growing egotistical about his success. He has some of our favorite men's fashion in the show. Warren is seen wearing a lot of fringed vests, flared pants, loose-fitting tops, embellished belts, fun necklaces, rings, and loud long coats. We're hoping to see more of an emergence in men's fashion to be more playful, and less serious this time around.

Karen Sirko:
Karen started off as the only girl in the band when it was originally named "The Six". She stays true to herself in how she dresses, always comfortable, and refuses to be an object for the male gaze. Karen is always seen wearing straight-leg low-rise 70s jeans, flowy loose shirts, sheer tops, long sleeve high-neck tops, and fun jewelry pieces.
Costume designer Denise Wingate explained in an interview with Variety that the inspiration behind Karen, was Patti Smith, Suzi Quatro, and Chrissie Hynde.

Billy Dunne:
Billy Dunne is the lead singer of the band. His edgy 70s rock style is complementary to his character in the show. In our eyes, Billy has a classic 70s rock look, wearing a lot of leather jackets, denim on denim, aviator sunglasses, and a simple cotton t-shirt. He is one of the more basic gentlemen in the group when it comes to his clothing choices.
His wardrobe consists of classic staples we all know and love, and you may already have them in your closet.
