Carrie Bradshaw is one of the most iconic characters in Sex and The City due to her fashionable style wearing one-of-a-kind brands such as Jimmy Choo, Dior, Gucci, and much more. SATC aired over 24 years ago, and we are seeing the same types of clothing come back in style including, feather tops, tube tops, cargo pants, newspaper print clothing, sheer clothing, and maxi skirts!
Here are five popular trends worn by the iconic Carrie Bradshaw recreated in 2023:
Feather Tops:
Feathers are a great way to add a little flare to your outfit. This ostentatious top is perfect to pair with, leather, black, or white pants and a blazer. If you want a simple yet fun top, this is the right one for you. Feel free to elevate the outfit even more by adding heels, flats, or even Alexander McQueen sneakers. Some extra accessories such as a black shoulder purse or the Hermes Clic H bracelet would be a great addition to complete your outfit further.

Newspaper Print Clothing:
Not until recently did I discover that newspaper tops were a fairly popular trend worn by Carrie in SATC. The newspaper top gives a vintage/retro look, fun to wear when going out. My recommendation would be to wear it with black, white, or leather pants. For hair, a slick-back ponytail or bun will put the look altogether. Lastly to truly complete your look, add a Prada nylon shoulder bag, as well as a pair of heels or Golden Goose sneakers.

Tube Tops and Cargo Pants:
This look has some slight variation to it– Cargo pants are a very loose, relaxed, and comfy yet fashionable look. This particular type of pant is very trendy and popular during the summertime. A tube top pairs great with this because it doesn’t take away the focus from the Cargo pants. This is a very simple yet great fashionable look for going out. I would recommend a shoulder bag like a Bottega Veneta Mini Jodie bag and platform flip-flops or sandals. To go along with that, you could add two hair clips to the front of your hair or even add two small braids to the front. For accessories, try adding the large return to Tiffany & Co. necklace.

Maxi Skirts:
Maxi skirts allow for a simple and flowy look. The best thing about this versatile and comfortable staple clothing piece is that it can be worn with any top. Shoes such as platform sandals are your best friend when paired with this skirt. You can even pair it with some cowboy boots if you want to really stand out. Lastly, For accessories, a Longchamp tote bag, Balenciaga wrap-around sunglasses, and Cartier love bracelet would be a perfect addition to your look.

Sheer Clothing:
Sheer clothing is all the rage, now more than ever. This confidently daring clothing piece can be worn by anyone, anytime, anywhere. Minimal accessorizing works best, as the dress speaks for itself. To make this look more classy, pair it with an elegant black kitten heel or, embrace your inner Carrie by wearing classic red-bottom Louboutin heels, as Carrie said: "The higher the better."
