Get ready for big hair, winged makeup, and faux eyelashes, the 60s are back! With much anticipation, the upcoming biopic film, Priscilla, written and directed by Sofia Coppola is said to come out November 3rd, 2023. The film is based on Priscilla Presley's biography, Elvis and Me: The True Story of the Love Between Priscilla Presley and the King of Rock N' Roll, showcasing Priscilla’s life with Elvis from her point of view.

Needless to say, many people are excited for this new film. Not just because it is directed by Sofia Coppola, but because of the muse behind it who is, Priscilla Presley. The Presleys were like American Royalty to most people and Priscilla specifically, set the standard of fashion for women in the 60s and 70s.

As we wait to see Priscilla in theaters, keep on reading to take a look into the iconic fashion of Priscilla Presley:

1967:

Priscilla Presley had a very distinct look back in the 60s. She was known for having her beehive hairdo, false lashes, and perfect winged eyeliner looking like a literal doll. In the 60s, she tended to wear more tailored dresses for a sophisticated look, paired with heels that weren't too high and complimented her overall outfit. This dress is just to die for, with the simplicity of the white and the black bow in the center. I mean, who wouldn't want to wear this after seeing it on Priscilla?

At first glance, you would think this wedding dress had to have been custom-made for Priscilla Presley, with all its lace, silk, and diamond glory, but that's quite contrary to the truth. Priscilla actually got this wedding dress at a department store when she was looking for dresses. However, it still does not take from the fact how gorgeous she looked in it. The dress was a classic white floor-length wedding gown encrusted with white pearls made from silk and chiffon. To top it off, Priscilla looked like royalty with her rhinestone tiara.

Priscilla never had a hard time catching up with the ever changing fashion world. She always happened to be moving with time and was always on trend. As we see her move from the 60s, into the 70s, her hair isn't as big but has that voluminous 70s Farrah Fawcett blowout (which is my personal favorite way to style hair), a classic loose bell sleeve top, and high waisted denim jeans.

This is one of my personal favorite Priscilla looks. I believe this dress truly embodies the look of the 70s with its flowy and care-free spirited style. It reminded me heavily of something Stevie Nicks would wear on the regular and while preforming. In Priscillas evolving style, it seemed she found her true self in the 70s and embraced that by how she dressed.

In 1973, Priscilla Presley opened her fashion boutique called "Bis and Beau" which she opened with her partner Olivia Bis. The boutique sold outfits designed by both Priscilla and Olivia, where Priscilla’s notably stylish fashion was shown through the designs she created. To the left, she can be seen wearing one of her designs which was a bedazzled denim ensemble with faux fur around the collar of the neck; Very 70s if you ask me.

I need a denim moment. This embroidered jean halter top, bikini short ensemble, is something very different than we would normally see Priscilla in and I absolutely love it. I admire how much Priscillas style continues to evolve. She has never been afraid of keeping up with trends, wearing vastly loud colors and patterns or even changing her hair. Priscilla has a poise confidence to her that makes her style undoubtedly some of the best.
