New pieces from Balmain were previewed during their fall/winter show that just took place a few weeks ago. Balmain featured fabrics such as velvet, leather, and satin; while the color palette mainly consisted of black, pearl white, and cream. Throughout the show, the looks shown were simple yet extravagant at the same time which called for a unique viewing experience. One of the most popular pieces of the night was the pearl tassel jacket.
Here were some of my favorite exquisite looks from this runway show:
Look 16:
This look is my number one favorite outfit from the show, due to the pearl tassels featured on the front side of the jacket. I love how simple yet complex this look is. The black of the shirt and pants pairs really well with the cream color jacket, letting the jacket stand out from the rest of the outfit. The wide-leg pants also added some flow that matched the swaying of the pearl tassels. In addition, the model is wearing a slick back bun which is great because it doesn’t take away too much from this look. It is no surprise that the jacket was the true star of this outfit.

Look 11:
I personally love an all-black look, I think of it as very chic and stylish. One of the features of this dress I find interesting is the oval-shaped cut-out on the model's shoulder. The latex material is different from all the velvet we have seen, adding shine to the look and making it more elevated than it already is. This latex material, in my opinion, has been executed very well and I absolutely can’t wait to see what more designers come out with. In addition, the heels also have an interesting curved look complimenting the dress, paired with blinged-out silver earrings.

Look 9:
In this one-of-a-kind outfit, velvet, and silk are combined for an elegant look. One of my favorite features of the look is definitely the hat because it provides some shape and curvature to the outfit. The top half is a white shoulder piece, pairing beautifully with the velvet and silk. The earrings were silver and made up of many reflective diamonds–complimenting the hat, and silhouette of the outfit. The shoes are white heels which provide a nice balance for the outfit to all come together.

Look 32:
This outfit had to be one of the most eye-catching looks of the show. This dress has a very structured look to it–mimicking the shape of a handheld fan and having an extraordinary amount of jewels used throughout the entire look. The bag adds extra compliments to the dress reflecting like a disco ball along with the shoes that still have that unique oval shape to them, only in this instance covered by jewels. Truly, one of the most fun looks of the night.

Look 1:
Velvet is one of my favorite types of fabric. This look primarily consists of black velvet while there are some elements of silk materials in the flared-out collar area. This look provides simplicity as well as a more elevated and elegant look. The model is sporting a very clean base makeup look, wearing a slick back bun complimenting the simplicity of the outfit. A special touch is the rounded velvet shoes with a jewel embellishment in the middle; as jewels seemed to be a reoccurring theme throughout the show.
